Marcia Gaines Mercer lives with her husband Gordon in a 1930’s farmhouse in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. She enjoys writing, jewelry design and walks with her dog, Pip and goat, Elsa. She is co-author with her husband of the column, “Notes on Quotes” and author of the children’s book “When I Woke up the World Was Yellow.” She is currently working on several book projects.
