Gordon Mercer is professor emeritus at Western Carolina University where he taught for over 30 years in public policy, political science and public administration. He has served as president of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society and is on their Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Marcia, write a column called, “Notes on Quotes” that has appeared in over14 newspapers. Gordon also hosts a radio show called, “Citizens Making a Difference,” which encourages voluntary community leadership.
