After accepting an early retirement incentive from the Yonkers public school system, I started working as a freelance writer. My work has appeared in regional newspapers and magazines, as well as national magazines and books, including Inventors' Digest, Elks Magazine, Vibrant Life, Angels on Earth, The Saturday Evening Post, and Chicken Soup for the Soul. My memoir about my career as an urban educator, The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Teacher, is available at amazon.com.
